The Lady Trojans defeated Otero by scores of 30-28, 23-25, 25-22, 25-18. Head Coach Valerie Armstrong said the team experienced some adversity, but responded well in the victory.
“The girls started slow in the first set, but came back and didn’t give up,” Armstrong said. “In the second set, (Megan) Dennis injured her back, so there was some confusion. But, the team re-grouped and Jessica Merino came off the bench and played hard for us.”
