Lady Trojans vs. Pratt
1st half recap
Lady Trojans jumped out to an early 12-2 lead over the first seven minutes of the first half and led 34-11 at halftime. CCC applied steady defensive pressure, combined with poor Pratt shooting from the outside. The Lady Trojans capitalized on early Pratt mistakes which led to easy baskets. The Lady Trojans biggest lead of the first half was 26 points at 32-6 with 3:00 minutes remaining.
Jamie Alexander led the Trojans with 8 points. Tasha Wagoner had 6 points, Jaclyn Marshall had 5 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Nikki Welsh also had 5 rebounds and left the game with 1:40 left in the first half after rolling her ankle after a lay-up.
2nd half recap
Back and forth action in the second half. Pratt scored the first five-points in the second half and seemed poised to make a run, but back-to-back baskets pushed the lead back to 22 points. Pratt came out more determined on offense, scoring 39 points in the second half compared to 11 in the first, but the Lady Trojans were still able to find easy baskets and open looks. The Lady Trojans converted on their free-throws down the stretch and finished with a 74-50 victory.
