The Colby Community College softball team hosts Hutchinson today at 3 p.m. at Carl Adams Field. The Lady Trojans are 10-11 overall and 0-2 in the Jayhawk Conference. Hutch enters with a 12-9 overall record and 1-3 conference record.
The Lady Trojans last week swept a doubleheader against McCook, after struggling at their home softball tournament on March 15-16. Outside of Nina Amaro the Lady Trojans have been inconsistent offensively, but have shown signs of being a good offensive team. Amaro leads the team with a .491 average, 11 homeruns and 26 runs batted in. Amaro's 11 homeruns is third in the nation behind only Marina Gusman-Brown of Eastern Arizona and Shannon Miles of Bossier Parish.
The Lady Trojans also will host Barton County tomorrow at 3 p.m. and Neosho on Sunday, March 30 at 1 p.m.
