The Colby Community College women's basketball team improved its record to 11-14 overall, 6-5 in the conference with a 72-63 victory over Dodge City Community College.
Sandra Sormaz led the Lady Trojans with 19 points, and also contributed 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Whitney Archer added 18 points and 6 rebounds. Katie Spresser had a double-double for the Trojans, finishing with 14 points and a team-high 11 rebounds. Spresser also had 5 assists.
The Lady Trojans forced 21 turnovers and held a 46-39 rebound advantage. The Trojans shot just 37% from the field, but grabbed 18 offensive rebounds. CCC has five remaining games this season, three on the road and then the final two games at home. Their road contests are at Butler on Feb. 13, at Cloud on Feb. 16 and at Hutchinson on Feb. 20.
The final two regular season games are home contests against Barton on Feb. 27 and against Seward on March 2.
