Trojan basketball defeats Pratt in overtime

For the second time this season the Colby Trojan basketball team (7-16, 3-7) and Pratt went into overtime to decide a game. In the first game, Colby was able to steal a win on Pratt's home court. This time, Colby was able to seal a win at home in overtime.

Erick Pegeuro hit a crucial three with .45 seconds remaining, sealing a 90-84 win for the Trojans. The Trojans were tied before Pegeuro hit the three, and Mike Boyd hit two free-throws on the next Trojan possesion to ice the game. Pratt had a chance to win the game in regulation, but guard Will Collins missed an open jump shot with five seconds left.

The Trojans had six players in double-figure scoring, led by Koance Davis with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Boyd had 18 points and 5 assists, Jordan Ottoway had 15 points on 5 three-pointers, Pegeuro had 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists, Mikey Doll had 12 points and 5 assists, and Everson Lacerda had 11 points and 6 rebounds.

Pratt opened the game on a 12-2 run over the first three-minutes of the game, but the Trojans went on a 10-2 run over the next two minutes to tighten up the game. From that point on neither team enjoyed more than a six-point cushion.
