The Colby Community College Lady Trojan basketball team overcame 23 turnovers to defeat Pratt Community College 59-52. The Lady Trojans struggled to find consistency on the offensive end. The game was also very physical with few fouls called. After leading 27-23 at halftime, the Lady Trojans were able to maintain that margin.
Both teams were content shooting from the outside as Colby attempted 29 three-pointers, while Pratt attempted 23. CCC also held a distinct advantage on the boards, with a 38-23 advantage.
Sandra Sormaz led the Lady Trojans with 18 points and 11 rebounds, Nikki Welsh added 12 points and 8 rebounds, and Whitney Archer had 10 points and 4 rebounds.
