The Colby Community College Lady Trojans (11-17, 6-8) played conference opponent Hutchinson tough Wednesday night, but fell short, losing 62-50. The Lady Trojans trailed by two at halftime (31-29), and Hutchinson (21-6, 10-3) held off Colby down the stretch.
Sandra Sormaz was the only Lady Trojan in double figures with 14 points, and Lauren Fortin and Whitney Archer both added 9 points. Katie Spresser led the Lady Trojans with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
The Lady Trojans have two regular season home games remaining, Wednesday, Feb. 27 against Barton County and Saturday, March 1 against Seward.
